Be sure to stop by our West Cape May Tomato Festival, Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 9am to 4pm in the Borough’s Backyard Park, 732 Broadway, West Cape May (behind the firehouse). Listen to live music around the park and shop the multitude of food and craft vendors that are sure suit everyone’s interests. You will find a wide array of food dishes and items for purchase that incorporate tomatoes for our tomato lovers, as well as ones without for those attendees who enjoy the comradery of Community events more than our State’s well-known fruit. 🍅
On the day of the festival we will hold our very first largest tomato contest! Submissions and sign-ups are from 9am – 11am and shall be submitted to either Theresa or Erin at the Festival Coordinator’s booth, which will be clearly marked and located infront of the blue shed in the backyard park. The contest will take place center stage starting at 12noon where we will announce a first place winner, who will receive a gift card to local West Cape May restaurant, Viggiano’s on Sunset, located at 109 Sunset Blvd, West Cape May. It is free to enter and submissions are to be home-grown. One submission per participant. So be sure to get our those gardening tools ready and search your gardens for your largest/heaviest tomato to enter this Saturday!
