We’re thrilled that the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail won the People’s Choice Award at the America’s Transportation Awards ceremony!
This 93-mile trail provides connections between communities, access to the outdoors, economic benefits, space to recreate and exercise, and links to New England’s developing trail network!
Congratulations to Vermont Agency of Transportation and the trail’s many supporters!
The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail today won the People’s Choice Award at the America’s Transportation Awards ceremony hosted by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). The LVRT was one of 12 finalists, and Vermonters and LVRT supporters everywhere sealed the win by voting online to support our amazing 93-mile, multimodal, four-season rail trail. AOT received an award of $10,000, which will be donated to the Vermont Community Foundation’s Flood Relief Fund and earmarked for communities along the LVRT that sustained flood damage in July.
