You’ll notice that Ike, an American alligator, has a very rounded snout. This is typical of alligators, compared to crocodiles, who have a pointier or “v-shaped” snout. Another difference is in the teeth. An alligator’s lower teeth are usually hidden when their mouth is closed, unlike crocodiles, where some of the lower teeth are visible. Either way, we recommend you don’t try to get too close of a look at those teeth! 😳
