#WineTipWednesday 🍷 All about wine corks.
The cork used for wine bottles typically comes from an oak tree known as Quercus suber. The ideal age to harvest bark for cork is between 15 and 25 years. Harvesting bark used for corks does not harm the trees – in fact, the bark regrows on the tree after harvest.
Why are corks used for wine? Corks help wine age and mature beautifully.
